I am so in love with Stay & Bird sweaters and so is Finn, my four year old, who is obsessed by his glorious snail sweatshirt. Stay & Bird have a capsule collection of beautiful unisex organic cotton sweatshirts with button detailing. His sweatshirt is from the debut collection, ‘The Great Outdoors’, which is inspired by the nature on the doorsteps of designer/owners Naomi Stay & Laura Bird.
The collection is 100% organic cotton and produced in GOTS certified European factories. The colour pallet is seasonal and both the front and back are brought to life by beautiful detailed illustrations, using digital water-based ink printing. This is what Finn loves. Everyone comments on his fab snail and he loves to spin round to show them the back – a munched on cabbage leaf!
We have had this sweater for a couple of months now, and it washes brilliantly. No fade or deterioration of the print. The sweatshirts also feature wooden buttons at the neck and ‘scratch free’ blanket stitched labels, for easy dressing. Along with snail, there’s toadstool, crab, ladybird and hedgehog. Huge thumbs up from us and we’re looking forward to watching this label grow.
