Natalie writes…Wanstead based vintage inspired boutique and online store, Knock Down Ginger, have some very cool buys. Here are just a few of my favourites…
Sweaters by Ndygo Genes
Forget slogan t-shirts – displaying cool musical tastes that they don’t even know they have is oh so hip. One of my new years resolutions has been to track down more cool threads for boys because they’re hugely undercatered for and these are a great start!
There’s the Stevie pictured which comes in grey and red, but only in age 3-4, or and a Bob Marley, in yellow, grey, or white starting from 1-2 up, in several sizes. They’re a cotton synthetic mix. £16-22
Hilda Rocket Coat & Booties
They have this scrumptious handknitted coat which comes in the plummy purple pictured and in light blue, which is made from 100% big wool. Sizes 6-12 and 12-18. £48. The cute but super cool bunny booties made from organic cotton yarn in camel and grey but they’ve only got smalls left. £20
Baby Davis Cashmere Booties & Bonnets
We became instant fans of Hackney based designer Christa Davis when we featured some of her highly desirable gear last year and I’m loving these scrumptious booties and bonnets which are made from 100% reconditioned cashmere in some very cool colours. The bootie shoes are available in small and medium in green, multicoloured, pink and light pink for £10. The bonnets are also £10 each in green, pink, purple, and light pink with only size smalls left.
Do check out their girls and boys shoe sections too where they have some great looking winter boots although we’re not sure who by – but the prices are good!
