Five years into writing Bambino Goodies and upmarket, contemporary highchairs with lifespans beyond the first year continue to be very popular.
The HiLo has a innovative take, going from a highchair that will fit under a kitchen counter, to a low chair that can sit at standard size tables with a quick swivel. It’s has a removable tray, 3 point harness with crotch bar, and the moulded seat is BPA, PVC, and pthalates free with water based varnishes used on the wooden legs, making for an eco friendly recyclable design. The legs (two also have little wheels) do fold to minimise storage space although it’s not the smallest of highchairs so I wouldn’t consider it a space-saving design. It is however designed for you not to be crumb seeking in crevices as there are no cavities in the seat for food to catch in – yay!
Available in carrot (my favourite), asparagus, blueberry, chocolate, black, raspberry, and portebello (like a coffee-ish shade), it’s suitable from 6 months to around 6 years. At £269, it’s certainly at the upper end of highchairs but will appeal if you’re features driven and will use the chair for its full life. Available from Lula Sapphire .
