We’ve raved about Matt Pugh’s owls in the past and I dropped loads of hints was lucky enough to receive a green one for Christmas. He is looking a little lonely on the mantelpiece though, so I think I might have to invest in a friend for him. This teak and cherry wood sparrow would be perfect – a classic piece of 1960s Danish design by Gunnar Flørning, he costs £30 (or £55 for a large version), from Lagom Design. Brilliant for a bird or woodland-themed nursery.
