Recently I asked readers and Twitter followers to suggest coats for the great autumn winter coat hunt and I received a tip off from Abby about Boden’s funky duffle coats for girls.

Strangely, when I was at the childminders a few days ago, my eyes were on stalks when I spotted a beautiful purple duffle hanging on the coat rack. Rich colour, brilliant quality, high style – yep, it was the purple one, which is owned by the bambino’s bezzy mate. It’s the colour combo’s that really lift this style, with the lining just as much a part of the look as the outer.
