Regular readers will be well aware that Claire and I are big fans of the bargains to be had at the brilliant TK Maxx. It’s consistently great for homeware, toys and childrenswear, plus it comes into its own at this time of year, when we’re hunting for Christmas gifts. Bambino Goodies was challenged to pick out a selection of unique gifts from across tkmaxx.com – here’s what we found, all for up to 60% less than retail prices.
Firstly, we checked out the toys. All the BG kids are big Potterheads, so this wizarding puzzle was a must-buy. Alfie and Kitty LOVE games, even if they are the cause of a bit of bickering when one of them doesn’t play fair, and sushi is one of their favourite foods, so I loved the look of this game – great stocking filler. PJs are a Christmas essential and these are perfect for dino fan Finn. Finally, I couldn’t believe it when I spotted the cushion – Kitty is obsessed with pandas, so she’ll adore it.
Christmas isn’t just about the children, of course – we mamas deserve a treat as well, so it was off to the gifts for her section next where I found the most fabulous pair of tiger-print satin pyjamas that I’m definitely gifting… to myself! I also snapped up a lovely tumbler that keeps your drink cold for a friend and a box of huge balloon glasses for G&Ts and a luxe shower gel for my sister-in-law, everything with massive discount.
So what was in our shopping bag?
For children:
Panda cushion, £7.99 (RRP £2o.99)
Dinosaur pyjamas, £8.99 (RRP £16)
Harry Potter puzzle, £7.99 (RRP £14.99)
Maki Staki game, £5.99 (RRP £12.50)
For women:
Satin tiger pyjamas, £16.99 (RRP £32)
Reusable tumbler, £12.99 (RRP £22)
Gin glasses, £10 for four (RRP £20)

That’s £162.48 worth of gifts for just £80.93 – how fantastic is that? Add in a gorgeously soft toy snow leopard (that mysteriously disappeared into Kitty’s room before the photos were taken), for £7.99 (RRP £14.99) and you still have change from £100 – serious savings on great gifts.
