Taking your baby out can for some people be an ordeal, but with the right essentials it can be an enjoyable experience. Here are five of my favourite portable dining accessories for babies and toddlers.
Handysitt
This is one of the most portable highchairs as it folds flat and only weighs 2.5 kilos (you can also purchase a bag for keeping it in when going out & about). It allows your bambino to sit at any table with you and encourages good eating habits from an early age. You have a choice of 3 wood finishes and a choice of 5 seating colours. Available from Two Left Feet and Back In Action for £55.
Kiddopotamus Tiny Diner
This is really useful for when you go out with your bambino. I remember sticking napkins on the table where my bambino was sitting so that she could be free from germs when eating, but no more, just roll out the Kiddopotamus portable placemat and hey presto you have a fab hygienic area for your bambino to eat from. Available from Amazon for £12.99 it is available in Yellow.
I never went anywhere without my wipes they got me through so many sticky situations. Kids just seem to have a habit of wearing more of the food than actually eating it… These are soft and thick and 100% biodegradable, ingredients include organic chamomile and calendula. Available from Cyberstrawberry for £2.99. For more eco-friendly products why not check out our new sister site The Green familia.
Kipiis Bib Clips
What an ingenious idea. These clips are durable and very handy when taking your bambino out. No need to worry about having enough bibs anymore, the Kipiis can clip onto anything, just clip the 2 rounded fasteners onto the napkin, adjust the back and voilá your bambino is covered. Available from Travelling with Children for £7.99.
I used to loose track of the times my kids would throw their cutlery on the floor or somehow it would get lost, well never fear…here is the perfect solution. The cutlery has flexible coils attached to the handles and strong suction pads to attach it to the surface to make it stay put, this then helps to encourage greater eye-hand co-ordination. Available from Cradle and All for £8.99.
