We heart pretend play here at BG, and there’s nothing better than a mini-photographer running around getting everyone cheesing! The wooden toy camera has come of age – the BG kids were all over them at our pop up shop, so here are a few more of our favourites.

These are Instagram favourites and have been getting a lot of press. Not surprising, they look fabulous! You can buy direct but it’s going to cost you another £10 in shipping. Scout & Co will have more in stock soon.

Beautifully natural. These are a massive hit with the BG kids, so much so that they’ve all been moved to the top shelf where little hands can’t reach them!
Fanny & Alexander Heritage Film Camera, £55, Shak-Shuka.
Simple and enduring. This one has future heirloom written all over it. I think the big kids will like this one, too. Will work as well as a decor item or prop.
Plan Toys My First Camera, £12.15, Smallable.
Not solid wood but looks great. It’s made from rubber tree roots, mixed with sawdust and stuck together with non-toxic glue to make a modelling dough.
Playtime Wooden Camera, £13.95, Nest on NOTHS.
One for the colour lovers. The camera is painted with non toxic paints and is made from sustainable wood.
