We’re welcoming the outdoor play at the moment because 1) our kids love a puddle 2) Spring, we see you coming… and 3) there are so many brilliant outdoor clothing brands who are slaying this season, slaying! Here are some of our favourite spots…
GoSoakyRain capes. I really don’t think I really need to add much more. They are just lush. What kid wouldn’t be happy swishing about in the rain in one of those? But if for some cray-cray reason they’re not your thing, the raincoats are just as gorgeous and they even do one with frills. Capes cost around £40 – try Olive Loves Alfie or Kidly. Hiding the screen from Lola as I type this.
Muddy Puddles
Lu and I are both Muddy Puddles lovers and buyers, and we’ve already waxed lyrical about the brilliant Muddy Puddles x Tootsa collaboration but you’ll also find everything you need from skiwear to wet weather playwear at affordable prices. There’s colour, there’s print, brilliant sales and the most adorable scampsuits, from £48.75.
Sways Rainware
I am obsessed with this Danish brand and their sail jackets, around £50, beautiful cut and fab quality and they also do some pocket-friendly rain bottoms in a good variety of colours. Another thing I have the heart eyes for are their rucksacks, which are functional and minimalist, and their waterproof bucket hats are a rainwear classic.
Hatley
I don’t think it’s right to do a round up of outdoor clothing and not include Hatley, especially because my two have been living in their raincoats for the last few years! I adore the new tiny whales print and the classically styled kids umbrellas with their wooden handles (stormy days is my favourite), from £5.60.
Polarn O.Pyret
Another brand we’ve featured countless times over the years and for good reason – great quality kids’ clothing that lasts. Currently catching our attention is the water resistant baby pramsuit, £56, and we love the yellow everything!
