I have a 6-year-old who is currently obsessed with mermaids, so being the dutiful Mama I am, I have been hunting for mermaid crafts to keep her (and I!) entertained this half term. Here are five of the best….
Toilet roll crafts are always easy and cheap and this fabulous one from Molly Moo crafts is perfect. You can use whatever you have to hand – coloured paper and sharpies – and you’re good to go.
It’s not very often we feature anything from Disney on BG, but these mermaid peg dolls are an exception to the rule.
This one is for me to make for her. A DIY mermaid tail blanket which could be an easy make if you cut out some of the detailing. You could make this out of those cheap fleece blankets from Ikea for extra snuggleness!
Mermaid handprints. Another simple activity which the little people are sure to love. Add glitter for a scale like quality.
Every self-respecting mermaid needs a tiara, right? This one from Rainy Day Mum will keep little people busy for a while.
