I’m pretty obsessed with felt at the moment, so expect some felt-based make your owns over the next few weeks. It all started with Lola’s Batgirl outfit for superhero day at her school. I made the whole thing out of felt, including the boot covers. Felt is cheap, easy to work with and is a glue gun’s best friend! There’s so much inspiration out there when it comes to using felt for masks, so here are five that are on my to do list…
Moodkids fox tutorial. This one is in Dutch but the images are self-explanatory.
Oh My Handmade Wolf Mask. Let them howl with this free downloadable template.
Lemon Thistle Animal Templates. There are six free templates here, including a gorilla, tiger and bear.
Lia Griffith’s Dragon Mask. I adore this no sew dragon mask and cape tutorial.
Fabric scrap mask from Circus Beer. Now I know I am going to start hoarding scrap!
And, as a Brucey bonus, I spotted these two on a forum. No instructions or templates I am afraid but such a brilliant, effective technique, I had to share!
