I decided to treat the baby to a sleeping bag a while back and took a leap and went for the organic ErgoPouch sleeping bag in the warm version. I’d sold the bambino’s Grobags after she outgrew them, clearly not expecting to get pregnant again for a while… Anyway!
The award winning Australian design features an ergonomically designed pouch that enables your baby to move about in the sleeping bag without getting tangled. Featuring sides that are stretchy inserts, this is what lets your baby have the flexibility to move about.
Made entirely from organic cotton, including the cotton fibre fill, they’re also hypoallergenic and keep their temperatures regulated -This means they’re cooled down when its hot, and warmed up a little when its cold. It’s also got the upside down zipper for quick changes and fiddly little finger dodging.
I love the quilted appearance and surprised myself by loving the cream, although admittedly she sleeps in a yellow Brio Sleep cotbed so she’s in no danger of losing out on colour. The colour may hold some of you back although if you’re like me and running Widow Twankies launderette with a neverending stream of washing, it won’t hold you back. They wash and dry on a normal load too.
The ErgoPouch sleeping bag is at the pricier end of sleeping bags at £44, although not the priciest, but they are sized from 0-9 months, plus 9-18 and 18-36 months (some brands are 0-6 or even 0-3/3-6 months) so have the potential to last a while longer.
