I can honestly say that children’s book illustrator Rob Biddulph kept me sane over lockdown. His online #drawwithrob drawing tutorials on a Tuesday and Thursday at 10am were something that both Alfie (11) and Kitty (8) were able to enjoy while I got on with some work.
The children were also proud participants in his successful world record attempt and I genuinely think their drawing technique has improved massively. We’ve long been fans of Rob’s illustrations, so I’m thrilled that he’s produced an activity book featuring step-by-step instructions on how to recreate many of his most popular characters, from Gregasaurus and Fred Bear to Eugene the owl and Penguin Blue.
As you’d expect, the book is colourful and fun and features perforated pages so works of art can be removed and displayed. Perfect summer holiday fodder and a brilliant gift for any age: Draw with Rob by Rob Biddulph (HarperCollins, RRP £6.99).
