Anorak magazine has long been a favourite of Alfie’s, so I was excited to hear that the brains behind it, Cathy Olmedillas, was launching a magazine aimed at younger readers. Dot doesn’t disappoint. Kitty absolutely loves her copy – we have read and re-read it endlessly. The first edition is The Shapes Issue, so there are lots of activities based around bright, bold, primary coloured circles, squares and triangles. You’ll also find stories, with characters such as Mouse Marp the detective, Happy and Grumpy and Claude the Cloud, games, recipes and other activities to keep preschoolers entertained – well worth the £5 cover price. We can’t wait for the next one!
