Over the past few months, we’ve gotten to know a guy who my girls call Uncle Michael who is great pals with their godfather. I thought he was ‘just’ a fashion designer but Michael it turns out, he’s the guy behind Grin and Bear, his teddy bear brand that’s been taking the fashion world by storm.
Michael studied fashion design and specialised in womenswear and he’s incredibly stylish, has great attention to detail and is a wonderful seamstress – I’ve just seen some Marie Antoinette gowns he’s made for a fashion shoot with his own bare hands. Grin and Bear reflects his talents and tastes and was conceived one Christmas when he was flailing around trying to come up with gift and came across an old teddy pattern. Each bear is handmade and unique and he goes to great lengths to source his fabrics so that he can give each bear a story. These divine bears are £49-£129 and made with love and to be treasured for years to come. So lovely, I want one for myself!
