One of my favourite spots at Bubble was these exquisite playmats from Avery Row. The Go Everywhere Mat is made from a specially engineered waxed cotton that can go in the washing machine – so it’s water-resistant (great for picnics) yet easily washable (perfect for play). It’s entirely manufactured in the UK, including the bright yellow leather carry strap – how cool to sling this over the buggy for a trip to the park. Unlike many of the garish playmat designs out there, these will look equally stylish on the lounge floor – the This Way That chevron print it my favourite, but you can also choose from Over the Rainbow or Round in Circles in two colourways. At £65, it’s not cheap, but the fact that it does double duty indoors and out makes the price tag more justifiable. A fabulous baby shower gift.
