Natalie writes…When we were looking around for a highchair and checking out the plastic ones, the Cosatto Aurora Deluxe Milk Bar Highchair had only come out about a month before. If I was going to pinpoint one thing that drew my eye to make me even look at it, it was the fact that it was black and white instead of a concoction of bright colours to scare us and our poor home.
It’s a ‘diner’ style highchair that’s suitable from about 4 months (quite early in highchair terms). It’s got a leatherette cushioned seat, 6 height positions, 3 recline positions, and a 2-part tray that can be adjusted to 3 positions. There’s a storage basket, wheels on the rear for moving it around, a water filled pat mat toy, and a 5 point harness.
For me (I own the Svan Highchair) this would be a bit busy for me as we didn’t want something that reclined – we wanted something stylish and functional for eating only and didn’t want her sleeping in it.
It’s stable and always having a spare clean tray (unless you let both of them go dirty) is rather handy. It is quite bulky though and the harness is a bit of a letdown as it has dodge plastic rings and a buckle which are out of sync with the style of the chair.
As plastic highchairs go though, this is one of the few stylish ones out there and it will certainly fit in with your home a lot better than many its dayglo counterparts.
The RRP is £140. There are various offers around so keep monitoring, but for instance, Kiddies Kingdom have it for £117.95.
