If Lucy’s write up of Camp Bestival has you hankering after the festival experience this summer then check out the small yet perfectly formed Moor Music Festival. We were tipped off by Caroline, a trend setting Mama from the North, that this is set to be a chilled weekend where children are very much welcome.
The festival runs for three days from 12th – 15th August 2010 and is held at Heslaker Farm, Skipton, North Yorkshire. The size of the festival is a mere 2,500 which makes for a nice village feel to the event. There are workshops for both children and adults as well as plenty of live acts to catch. The food stands sound delicious and there is a big ethical and eco friendly vibe to the whole event. Weekend tickets for adults are £85 each, children under 5 go free and those aged 5 – 12 are just £5.
If you’ve never tried a festival with your kids before then the small size of Moor Music Festival makes it an ideal first outing. With a range of things to see and do as well as the stunning countryside it looks set to be a fabulous weekend.
