We raved about Ruth Green’s Noisy Neighbours – the tale of Sid the snail’s quest for a quiet place to sleep – when it came out. Now, Tate has launched a rather lovely app which tells the story with added audio and visual effects. I love Green’s friendly animal illustration and they lend themselves well to an app – tap the foxes to hear them sing, make the bees buzz and finally send everyone to sleep. My favourite bit is the party in the tree, complete with jazz soundtrack – Gatsby would be proud. You can also draw your own character to add to the story and give them their own noise (we did a laughing cat) which makes for a lot of fun. £2.99, the App Store.
