Hurrah! The brilliant children’s magazine Anorak has come to the iPad in the form of a digital edition. It’s a lovely thing, featuring everything you’d expect from the print version – stories, reviews, cartoons, recipes and games – all with added value. The stories and features (this launch issue’s theme is Dreams) are narrated (one even has a video) and have extra interactive characters and sounds. We loved the word searches and colouring pages and the children’s voice overs on the Dreams piece. Anorak’s quirkiness really lends itself to the iPad – I played about with the characters on the cover page for ages and there are lots of hidden goodies to tap for – and we can’t wait to see the next one. £2.99, the App Store.
