We love this book! Seriously. Cloud Sketching: Creative Drawing for Cloud Spotters and Daydreamers by Martin Feijoo (Quarry Books, RRP £12.99), contains two sections – the first is all about discovering Martin’s technique for drawing imaginative creations over photographs of clouds with examples of his work, the second section is all about you and your imagination, with ‘blank’ clouds for doodling your own designs along with blank journal pages where you can add in images of clouds you’ve photographed to sketch. We’re now cloud obsessed in this house – Lola’s iPod is full of cloud photographs she needs me to print and our car journeys have taken on a new lease of life! I kind of wish I didn’t let her get her mitts on this book as I want it for myself, however, her doodles are pretty fab…
First we have a a dog about to eat a mouse. Followed by Aladdin’s magic lamp when it was in Belle’s castle. She’s six.
It’s a great gift for all ages, and Martin’s work is so inspiring. Grab a copy now (and then hide it from your kids!)
