In true BG style and like Kat and Lu before me, I have put together my fantasy baby wish list. I’ve just hit the third trimester, and have realised that because it’s looking like I am having a  planned c section (health reasons), it could only be as little as 9 weeks before Baby arrives! Eccck! Best get on it …
All us BG girls are Stokke fans so it wont surprise you to see I have a few Stokke items on the list. Baba will get a hand me down Sleepi and Xplory from his big sister, and I have just added a new orange Tripp Trapp (£159) and newborn set  (£75) to our Stokke hoard. The husband has requested a Stokke My Carrier (£119) so that’s on the list. I have just taken delivery of the Bounce N Sleep (£241) too and it’s looking good, very good!
I am finding textiles to be hard work. I love textiles but can not make my mind up – there’s just too much choice, so I have put my pal Anna form Big Bird’s Boutique on the case, she’s putting together some textile combos together for me to choose from, and I am going to get her to make some custom pieces. I have my eye on the Little Hip Squeaks organic blankets (£30) that Lu found and featured not so long ago. Gorgeous. I also want some Aden + Anais swaddling muslins too (£45 for 4).
With the husbands family living up north, we also need items that we can easily travel with. So I am thinking the Moba Moses Basket, which is sold exclusively at John Lewis (£89.99), will make a great alternative to a travel cot and look a whole lot better too! It will be filled with all the baby stuff we need when travelling and lifted from car to house. It wouldn’t be right if I didn’t add a little something for myself, so I have already invested in a Pitterpac changing bag. It’s gorgeous. I opted for the Whitehall (£189) and love it. I’m going to be using that bag for years. Incidentally, they have just launched a new range of bags which are worth having a look at too.
There’s a few bits from Oeuf NYC I have been conveting for a while now – first up is the mini library, followed closely by the Merlin Dresser. I am in the realms of make believe now because of the costs; $678.00 and $920.00 respectively.
And of course, I couldn’t have a wish list that didn’t feature at least one elephant and I should actually own one of these already – it is of course the iconic Eames Elephant – which would be a fab addition to the nursery, but as I cant justify £159 right now on that I’m opting for this mid centrury eames style print from Yumalum (£19.50). The lovely Mark who designs all the prints is going to customise the text for me and it’s worth noting he also does custom colours too.
This list could go on and on and on… but I will stop (for now) but do make sure you take a moment to have a read of Lu’s recent post, where she has shared her best baby buys!
