We’re hand picking gifts for our children this year as part of our gift guide, and we have already shared what’s on Kitty, Alfie, Lola’s and Finn’s lists. Up next is six-year-old Nia, Nat and Em’s feisty little one.

Nia is a passionate reader who gets up early each day to read quietly on her own, often sleeping with several books in her bed. While she’s very into reading chapter books, exploratory reads where she can find out about animals and the world we live in and then hit us with a load of information, are right up her street.

A lover of small world, she adores anything Sylvanian Families, Playmobil and Lego, but also collecting little bits and bobs to either play with or display on her shelf. She’s also very into styling her own room so is always thrilled with anything that adds to the space including prints, vintage Fisher Price toys and decorations plus she knows exactly how she wants to dress and accessorise, with a strong interest in fashion -thanks to her Uncle Richie, she’s already had a morning’s ‘work experience’ at Calvin Klein making mood boards!

She obsesses over a remote control car at a friend’s house which she uses to transport dinosaurs and to jerk them through the air at high speed so there’s definitely going to be one under the tree for her this Christmas.

Still very passionate about role play and dressing up, she loves playing with her babies and bunnies and walking around in countess ballgowns with a doll and bunny stuffed in the tummy. If she’s not playing then she’ll be writing elaborate stories or pulling everything out of the arts and crafts cupboard to make or paint something.
