While we’re busying ourselves at the pop-up, we thought you might like to see our 2015 Christmas Gift Guide. As with last year, the entire BG gang have hand-picked their favourite pressies and we’ve also got our pick of the best books, pyjamas and stocking fillers. First up is Alfie, son of Lu and Harry and big brother to Kitty.
Alfie, six, is still as obsessed with science and space as ever, as you can see from his choices – the telescope says it all! He’s also started showing an interest in photography and loved his cousin’s colourful Nikon Coolpix when we were on holiday. It takes great pictures and seems reasonably indestructible, so I’m pretty sure that’s something Santa can deliver on. His class have been studying Ghana this term and participating in African drumming workshops which he adored, but perhaps we need to soundproof a room before investing in a djembe. We’ve both been enjoying Jennie Maizels’ Sketchbook Club, so I’m not surprised he has paints on his wish list – I do, too! As with many six years olds, Lego is his real passion and this Spaceport perfectly combines his interests. He’s also still a massive bookworm (hurrah!), so there’ll definitely be a stack of books under the tree.
