Boys&Girls are a brand new East London based clothing label for kids putting fun, comfort and ethics at the centre of their designs. Ahead of their launch mid-February they are sharing a sneak preview with Bambino Goodies as well as the chance to win a shopping spree worth £150.
We first brought you news of Boys&Girls when we came across them at Bubble last Summer where we were wowed by their strong designs. Boys&Girls was founded by Kati Martin, Steve Wood and Nicola Bradshaw who ‘believe that fair trade and organic clothing can also be stylish and affordable.’ They have certainly achieved those aspirations as not only is their debut Out to Play collection for SS11 gorgeous but with prices of £9 – £25 it is very much affordable.
Their collection have stripes, block colours, prints and slogans inspired by the classic children’s nursery rhyme boys and girls. The quality of the fabric feels rich and is made from 100% ethically traded organic cotton. Everything is comfortable and designed to encourage children playing and moving freely. The great mix of basics in this collection will see them become a wardrobe staples which can be mixed and matched endlessly. The collection is largely unisex (big thumbs up from us) and as a Mama, I love the fact that they are kids clothes for kids.
There are a few garments for under ones with the main collection running from 1 – 10 years in size. Knowing that many of our readers with older or just taller children often find themselves bemused by the choices of clothing 5+ this is welcome news.
Boys&Girls are set to liven up wardrobes when they launch next month and we will be checking out their Autumn/Winter collection at Bubble this weekend. Click the gallery below to see larger images from the Spring Summer 2011 collection.
