Kat posted a preview of the ultra-fabulous Boys & Girls back in January and now, we’re delighted to announce, the store is open for business. Newsletter subscribers had a sneaky peak yesterday, but today is the official launch, so the perfect opportunity to remind you why we’re so excited about this new British launch, self-styled as ‘more parks and scooters than ponies and paddocks’.
Firstly, the collection. It’s a great series of cotton basics – t-shirts, leggings, shorts, dresses, sweatpants in a rainbow of colours. From bright orange star motif hoodies to emerald green smocked jumpsuits for girls, via the signature ampersand and Out to Play tees, colour is key.
Next, the eco credentials – all cotton is 100% organic and many items are Fairtrade-certified. The only reason some aren’t is that B&G’s orders aren’t currently big enough to get them into Fairtrade dying houses, but here’s hoping. My absolute faves are the tattoo-print romper (above), £18, available in blue or coral, and a fantastically modern baby gift, and the star-print t-shirt (top), £12, which will no doubt find itself in Alfie’s summer wardrobe.
A great new online destination for fun, funky and ethical kids’ clothes run by lovely people – right up BG’s street!
