Regular readers will know I’m partial to a multitasking product and we’ve recently been checking out two in one eco friendly bed sheets and mattress protectors by B.sensible.
Made from Tencel, an exciting innovation in totally natural fibre that comes from eucalyptus, it’s combined with a stretchable polyurethane membrane which forms the protector bit. More absorbent than cotton and as tough as polyester, plus breathable, waterproof, and hypoallergenic – it’s clinically proven to be suitable for those with sensitive skin, asthma etc.
Feeling quite different to your bog standard mattress protector, they’re surprisingly light and soft. They wash well and save you from shelling out on a separate not so skin friendly mattress protector alternative.
Are they noiseless? I haven’t laid down on it myself and rustled around but to my super sensitive sniffer dog ears (a year of vertigo and tinnitus) when handling them to put them in the wash, I can hear them so not sure about the whole lack of noise thing, although admittedly, it wouldn’t be something I’d look for in a sheet!
My only criticism is the limited selection of colours – white, pink, and blue. Thankfully I’m not averse to a crisp white sheet and jaysus I hope they branch out a little, but from a practicality and eco credentials point of view, I’m liking a lot. Available in sizes moses, cot, cotbed, and single from £15.30-£27.75 at Baby & More.
