I am a huge, huge fan of the work Anorak Magazine do. They use cool graphic design and illustration to inspire a whole new generation of children. Now their magazine has come to life with Happy TV their brand new app for iPhone and iPad.
Happy TV episode one is a mix of interviews, drawing, art, joke offs, food, stories and so much more. Think the funky ‘educational’ shows we saw as kids mixed with some serious street style. The twenty minute long show is packed with cool music, ideas and lots of children giving it a feel of ownership.
I downloaded it last night and it kept my children in fits of giggles while I made supper.They are full of talk about how they what they will be drawing next and when they can watch it again. Bravo Anorak – a triumph!
At only 69p it is an absolute steal and a must-have for children. **edited to add: Anorak have had some issues with the app and had to remove it from sale for the time being**
