Finding bras that fit larger bust sizes has been a pain in the boobs since I was a teenager. They either left a lot to be desired n the design (hello? I might have big boobs but I don’t want a giant white bra up to my chin) or they hurt like billy-o to wear. Adding pregnancy and breast feeding into the mix has made finding bras even more tiresome and I have spent the last five years with only a handful of decent feeding bras.
Recently Amoralia released their second skin microfibre bra in fuller bust sizes and sent me one to test-drive.
The microfibre fabric is light and, as the name suggests, feels like a second skin. The back has a six hoop closure and a wider than average under-bust band. The cup fasteners are easy to use and the straps are comfy to wear. Day to day it’s an easy bra to wear which has a smooth finish not showing through clothing.
The cups are designed to be ‘dual sized’ according to the site which gives them stretch to adapt to your shape. Great for the early days when your size goes up and down from hour to hour. As an F cup the website directed me to order an E but this proved to be on the small size and I’d have been better going up a size.
My one big disappointment with a bra billed for bigger sizes is that (as is true across the whole industry) the back sizes don’t follow the cup sizes. Back sizes stop at 38 and the six hook back means that even bra extenders are difficult to use.
This is a practical everyday nursing bra which goes up to a cup size G (and small H). It is priced at £35 and comes in white. Available from Amoralia.
