I admit to being a bit sceptical when everyone kept going on about Annabel Karmel’s New Complete Baby and Toddler Planner until I had a brain drain and bought it to inject plenty of variety into the bambino’s meals in those early months of weaning. It’s excellent! When inspiration fails me, I have a few flicks through it and there’s always something.
Now Annabel’s only gone all seasonal on us with her first ever seasonal cookbook, her Family Cookbook Winter & Christmas 2008, which is a bit like a magazine. Its 160 pages have over 80 recipes that are perfect for winter with ideas for lunchboxes, Halloween, Bonfire Night, Christmas (God that word keeps cropping up), and some ‘world food’ recipes for exciting meals like Singapore noodles and paella. There’s also a section on baby allergies and substituting food and step by step cookery lessons for if you have kids that are old enough to get involved in the cooking.
RRP is £7.99 and it’s available for pre-order at Amazon for £6.39. You can order it now at the Bambino Goodies Amazon Store. It’s due to be published 30th September – if the price goes down between now and then, you’ll get it at the lower price.
