I’ve been on the lookout for a clock for the nursery for a while but nothing has really wowed me. Until I spotted the Animalask on cool design site Bouf. Conceived by Danish/British designer Polly Westergaard, it has traditional cuckoo clock house-shape styling, with intricate animal cutouts on each of the numerals (including a cuckoo at 12) and a monkey (who doesn’t love a monkey?) in a contrasting colour to match the hands, as a pendulum. All of which makes for a really fun way to learn how to tell the time. Made of powdered steel, there are three colourways available (white with red, green or pink) and it’ll set you back £45. I’ve also added the coat rack (£35) and wooden height chart (£45) to my wish list.
