Comforters, loveys, security blankets – call them what you will, but there’s no denying that they can be indispensible. I’m a big fan of them – they are really effective for helping children fall asleep and feel safe and secure in new and daunting environments. Alfie was given a beautiful FlatOut Bear by an Australian friend when he was born and Kitty goes to sleep with her Square Hare (a present from her ‘oddmother’) and the Aden & Anais puppy, but I love all of these. Sure beats a grubby old piece of blanket…
