I must confess that I’m thinking of buying these animals for myself they look so good. You get a set of eight figures: a bear, an owl, a bird, a whale, a fish, an elephant, a mouse, and a rabbit. As well as being beautiful, they are extremely tactile and made from a stone-mix that renders them suitable for outside use. Perfect for small world play – think habitat creation (a shiny fabric sea for the fish and whale, a Lego tree for the owl, a papier maché iceberg for the polar bear) – they are definitely gorgeous enough to be left out on display. £24, Yellow Door.
