Kat tipped me off about this fabulous little app. Alfie is in the process of learning his letters by sight, so we’re really into all things alphabet. VivaKids’ ABC is a lovely quirky take on the ABC with hand-drawn or collage letters and cool stop-motion animations depicting the words, accompanied by music.
You can get creative by changing the background or the texture of the letters and it’s great that they include upper and lower case letters – something many apps don’t. My absolute favourite is C with its cookie cutter camel and tinfoil pyramid, although I also love the dancing oranges of O and the nutty giraffe. £1.99, The App Store.
