There are some truly stunning children’s books out for spring, so expect lots of reading material on the site over the next few weeks. Nature’s Day by Kay Maguire, illustrated by Danielle Kroll (Wide Eyed Editions, RRP £14.99) is the latest favourite with Alfie and out on World Book Day on Thursday. It explores the seasonal changes in the natural world by visiting eight locations – including a farm, a street, a pond, a back garden and the woods – to see what’s different. Maguire is a gardening writer who trained at Kew, so it’s packed full of facts, which are brought to life by Kroll, who works in Anthropologie’s art department (perhaps why we love it so much!) A fabulous introduction to nature – would make a lovely Spring gift, maybe packaged up with some seeds or children’s gardening tools.
