Yes, rather unbelieveably, this week’s story corner is another book about bears! It’s quite an important one though, especially if you love bears so much that you actually want to find one… A Beginner’s Guide to Bearspotting by Michelle Robinson (Bloomsbury, RRP £12.99) is a wonderfully quirky guide to identifying bears and what to do if you find yourself face to face with one. Do you know the difference between a black and brown bear? Are they fierce or friendly? And what’s the one thing they really love? Guided by a young protagonist through the glorious illustrations by David Roberts, this is one for young adventurers everywhere. As a bonus, it also comes with a rather lovely limited-edition bear print, so makes a fab gift.
