Lola, the husband and I have just returned from a holiday in Florida where we gave the Stokke Scoot (one of their new connection strollers) a thorough workout. We are huge Xplory fans, but we loved it. Stokke hasn’t moved away from its ‘higher is better’ philosophy – in the Scoot your child is high enough to interact with you easily and it can be used instead of a highchair when eating out. Lola was easily able to sit high enough to see YouTube in the Apple Store! The seat unit is reversible too – so your little one can face you or explore their surroundings.
The Scoot is so easy to fold, I am talking one handed, a total win – you can get it up and down in seconds. Literally. The other half was very impressed with this, and demonstrated to anyone who showed the slightest bit of interest.
Other bonuses include a big shopping basket, an adjustable footrest – which Lola loved as she used it as a step to get in and out by herself – and it reclines fully. Lola’s three, but was able to snuggle in there after a long day. The hood also has a visor, and can be split to be used as a sun shade too – something we also love about the Xplory. In summary, a great addition to the Stokke range. If you’re a public transport user, you should seriously consider the investment, likewise if you have a small car or minimal space in your home like us.
The Scoot costs £549 and is available from Mothercare and Mamas & Papas.
