I spotted Mel B using the Cosatto Diablo over at Celebrity Baby Blog, so of course I had to check it out!
Stepping onto the pushchair scale and weighing in at 7.5kg, whilst it’s technically a lightweight pushchair, it’s one of the heavier ones – 1.5kg+ heavier than its counterparts.
Where it is attractive is that it has a wider seat than usual (36cm), so older, bigger children will be more comfortable giving the pushchair a longer life.
It’s made from lightweight aluminium with an all round suspension and front wheels that can be fixed or swivelling. Suitable from birth, it has a 4 position recline (goes to lie flat), and adjustable calf support, plus the prerequisite 5 point harness. It folds down with an autolock and has a carry handle on the side.
There’s all the usual fanfare like a decent sized shopping basket and all weather hood with UV protection, as well as bottle holder, extra pockets for mobile and room for a purse even.
There are two, slightly zany designs with the black and orange stripe ‘Rocks’ design pictured and a black and silver ‘Banzai’ version.
RRP is £139.99. There is an optional accessory pack with stuff like a footmuff, changing bag etc although this costs extra. Oliver’s Babycare look like they have the best price at the moment at £118.99 including delivery and a free blanket.
Ideal for: Someone looking for a robust alternative to some of the almost too light pushchairs out there.
Bang for your style buck: Good – This is the only style I like of the two and it’s a bit ‘zany’ (can see why Mel B might be drawn to it).
Weight range: The upper end of light. Another .5kg and it would be ‘medium’.
Don’t forget that you can see other pushchairs and prams we’ve featured in our new feature The Pushchair Track.
