It definitely feels a bit autumnal down here in Sussex this week (although I’m still defiantly wearing my Saltwaters and refusing to put on a coat), so it’s probably about time we starting looking at the autumn/winter childrenswear collections. Let’s start with The Bright Company, where Ali has been busy creating yet more fabulous prints for her much-loved Slim Jyms, Monty sleepsuit and Loll nightdress designs. The stand out is the Ditsy Woodland print, featuring flora and fauna (badgers, deer, squirrels and owls) scattered on deep russet Auburn background, as modelled beautifully here by Audrey. The Paint Splat Planets design has a more muted palette of dusky blue or peaty grey, with TBC’s signature contrasting cuffs.
Sleepsuits are £25, pyjamas £30 and nightdress £26, plus there’s a baby bundler (excellent for nighttime nappy changes), £22, and adult versions for twinning, from £36. I can’t emphasise enough the quality of TBC’s PJs – Alfie and Kitty adore theirs and, because we bought them a little oversized, they have lasted for years and look as good as new, but I’m definitely adding the Ditsy Woodland Slim Jyms to Kitty’s Christmas list this year.
