Can’t believe I missed out on this one when I was compiling the New York-themed room ideas, but better late than never, eh? ‘This one’ is a gorgeously vibrant map of Manhattan (with Queens, Brooklyn and New Jersey thrown in for good measure) by Hampshire-based illustrator Dan Walters. As with many artworks, the devil’s in the detail – dollar signs represent the Wall Street financial district, Little Italy is a slice of pizza and a dino skeleton pinpoints the Natural History Museum. It’s so bright and colourful I think it’s a worthy addition to any child’s room (themed or not) and will prove educational for older children. A great way to introduce your little one to the city that never sleeps – although obviously we hope that sentiment doesn’t rub off on them. £45 from print heaven, aka Peagreen.
