Ah, a new childrenswear label always gets our hearts beating a little faster, particularly when it’s as cool as The Animals Observatory (I do need to get over the lack of an apostrophe though). The brainchild of ex-Bobo Choses creative director Laia Aguilar and former Muji Spain CEO Jan Andreu, the debut collection takes inspiration from 70s art and architecture, with a healthy dose of animal illustration thrown in. I’m loving the palette, which centres on mustard, mauve, grey, khaki and ecru, with pops of bright green, red and dusty blue. Shapes are fluid – think boxy tees, slouchy sweats and oversized dresses – fans of Bobo will be in heaven. Get your fix from Smallable now and soon at Cissy Wears and Scandi Mini.
