I thought I first came across illustrator Jane Massey last week on holiday in Norfolk when my sister-in-law came back from a trip to Burnham Market with two of her prints. Further investigation reveals that she is actually the illustrator behind M&S’s Percy Pig – probably the most popular and most eaten sweets at the glossy mag I used to work on. Her line of prints, String, features a menagerie of characters, from Archie the Airedale to Walter the Whale, all realised in vibrant 30 x 40cm giclee prints, £22.50. I think my favourite is Terence the Tiger, but I’d happily have any of them on my wall.
