While Alfie’s busy reading and writing stories (or concocting weird and wonderful science experiments), Kitty is all about the pretend play. She loves her small world (Playmobil and Sylvanians), but the things that are played with every day in our house are the market stall and play kitchen. Ours are by German company Howa and seem indestructible, but I do like to keep an eye out for anything new. When I spotted London-based Scout & Fable‘s wooden kitchen over on Etsy my heart did a little skip. I love the use of colour on the hob and controls, a metal sink is always a bonus and the bright yellow oven door is perfection. It’s great to find a gender neutral kitchen, while the retro feel definitely ups the cool factor. It’s well priced, too – £90 for this one and £119 for a larger version. Do check out their colourful chairs and rocking horses as well.
