Hurrah! Lego have finally cottoned on to the fact that children are STILL obsessed with all things Harry Potter and released 11 new sets, plus a series of minifigures, which are now available to buy or pre-order. The Hogwarts sets range from Aragog’s Lair at £12.99 to Hogwarts Castle at (*gasp*) £349.99, with Quidditch Match, £34.99, Whomping Willow, £59.99, and Hogwarts Express, £74.99. My favourite is the Hogwarts Great Hall, £89.99, which comes complete with fireplace, benches, tables, reversible house banners, plus the Grand Staircase tower with a spiral staircase, potions room, treasure room, sorting hat, Mirror of Erised, buildable Basilisk and Fawkes creatures, plus 10 minifigures (including Harry, Ron, Hermione, Professor McGonagall, Hagrid, Dumbledore Hedwig and Scabbers). The range also includes Harry, Hedwig, Ron, Dumbledore and Hermione BrickHeadz, from £9.99, and two Fantastic Beasts sets: Grindelwald’s Escape, £19.99, and Newt’s Case of Magical Creatures, £44.99. Needless to say, Alfie and Kitty have already started saving and compiling Christmas lists. Which is good, because we don’t have enough Lego in the house… Seriously though, these all look brilliant, and will no doubt become as desirable as the last batch of Wizarding World Lego.
