Beaba Babycook and Blender
One of the best things I’ve ever bought. Period. It defrosts, reheats, steams, and blends all very quickly, which means that time poor me still manages to prepare the bulk of the bambino’s meals from scratch. Yummy!

Tommee Tippee 4 Food Pots and Lids
These are brilliant. Microwavewable and freezable, they’re perfect for weaning as they hold just the right amount of puree or snacks. I even put formula in there sometimes! Even when they move onto bigger portions, you could use them for freezing cooked meat portions.

Annabel Karmel’s New Complete Baby and Toddler Meal Planner
This is perfect if you want to understand what foods you can cook, what’s freezable, and most of all give variety to your baby. There are sooooo many recipes to choose from for each weaning stage and it gives great suggestions, often things you wouldn’t have thought of. I don’t follow her plans but I do choose ingredients and open it up for ideas. It goes perfectly with my Beaba Babycook and Blender!

I’ve tried a few cups and this very basic sippy cup which is just like the ones they had when I was a kid, is the best one. Sometimes less is more and even though it is handy to have a non-spill cup, trying to teach the bambino a new skill that she doesn’t really need for drinking out of these other cups, is beyond my interest. Suitable from four months plus, this cup is perfect for teaching your baby the basic skills of drinking. I’ll come up with a plan B when she’s a bit older, but as a first cup, this is the favourite.
You can get this in Boots and various supermarkets.
John Lewis Baby Stars Feeder
All this baby led weaning mallarky and the bambino wanting to feed herself is messy business which is why these bibs are a Godsend. It’s like having a bib outfit which is far better than trying to use several hot washes to get out dodgy stains. They go in the washing machine at 30 degrees to or just handwash and let it dry off.
