I saw some fruity ice lollies on Pinterest recently and suddenly remembered that I’d slipped some silicone lolly moulds into my basket on my last trip to Tiger Stores (obsessed with that place) and decided to have a go at making our own.
A great way of using up fruit, we put raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, sliced up kiwi (sans skin obvs!) and pieces of orange into a bowl and then the kids took it in turns to use the potato masher to squish the juice out of the fruit. We added some apple juice (we used the Innocents one although we barely needed two tablespoons to make four of these) and then spooned the fruit into the moulds. They went down very well and we shall be making more of them! The kids loved discovering chunks of fruit in their mouth. We’ll be trying mango, papaya, grapes, and pineapple in our next few tries and we’ll also be trying them with sliced fruit like the on Pinterest.
