Elli writes… Little Label’s Baby Basics range aims to cover off all the baby clothing basics. It makes life simple with a small range of thoughtfully designed cotton separates in single colours taken from a contemporary palette. This is not baby clothing to set your pulse racing, but rather all the basics of your baby’s wardrobe covered in one place.
Bodysuits are sleeveless, short-sleeved or long-sleeved for £6.95, £7.50 or £8.95 respectively. Thinking about it, sleeveless bodysuits aren’t something I’ve seen much of but would probably make a handy summer staple, particularly for baby’s capsule holiday wardrobe (ie 10 white vests to match your nappy and lashings of sunblock).
When it’s time for bed, pyjamas come with feet, without feet or in a two-piece for £14.95, £15.95 or £16.95. You think all plain onesies look the same, but actually, I really like the slight v-neck of the with-feet option and the colours look fresh.
There are then wraparound tshirts, trousers and sweaters for baby to lounge in. I remember scouring the net for good pint-sized hoodies in my daughter’s early days, as an antidote to the tidal wave of hand-knits. This would have fitted the bill.
To convince us that they really do have everything covered, there is a Newborn Basics Package of 12 items (bodysuits, hats, tops, trousers) which, at £79.95, saves you 20% compared with buying them all separately. You can bump this up to an ‘Extras‘ package of 19 items for £139.95. Sounds like a lot, but I wouldn’t like to think what our starter wardrobe for my little one cost us. Don’t pass the calculator. With both options, the colours are up to you and you can mix between 0-3 month and 3-6 months.
Everything is 100% cotton. Size availability varies with each style, so have a browse.
