Ooh, my inbox is filling up with some truly amazing things this week. Today’s offerings are these delicious fancy dress costumes from Iceland’s Fafu. Toyella is stocking three innovative items. Andy, £34, is a reversible poncho/skirt confection with one large head/waist hole and six smaller arm/leg holes which comes in two colourways: blue/green and red/yellow.
Cony, £13.50, is a funny pointy felted wool hat that can be folded or rolled into different styles. Finally, Poppy, £28, is a rectangle with edges covered in press studs that can be fixed together to create amazing capes and costumes or joined up to make a tent or secret den.
The entire range is fair trade, organic and ethical and one size, fitting ages two to ten, giving the pieces incredible longevity and potential as family heirlooms. These are exactly the sort of clever, quirky designs we love at BG – great for encouraging imaginative play.
