Nat and I have signed up to take part in the Color Run, Brighton this September and our beautiful girls are joining in, too! The Color Run is all about having a good time and getting covered from head to toe in a rainbow of colours. At each kilometre of the course, you’re basically covered in colour! You don’t even have to run – you can choose to walk, skip or dance your way around, making it really friendly for the little ones. At the end of the run there’s an epic finale which includes DJs, MCs, Color Throws and a host of colour crazy giveaways. There are no age limits, if you can do 5K then you’re welcome. And, yep, they allow strollers and all kids five and under can run with an adult free of charge!
The Color Run has partnered with The NSPCC to help raise funds. Some children are desperate for help and by supporting the NSPCC helpline, we can stop children suffering in silence. If you can’t do the run with us, please do sponsor us. If we can raise just £100, we will be providing enough cash for 20 hours of helpline support. It’s not a massive target but it can really help, because every childhood is worth fighting for.
We are signed up to do the Brighton run, but they’re also happening in Birmingham and London in August and September this year. Find out more, and sign up on the Color Run website and do let us know if you’re coming along!
NB: The Color Run is an American brand that has arrived in the UK so it’s missing the British ‘u’!
