We were back to homeschooling (thankfully just for one day as the school was a polling station) today, so we finally got the chance to have a proper look at this brilliant game from French toymakers extraordinaire Janod. This time last year, Alfie and Kitty were obsessed with learning languages on Duolingo. The Bodymagnet Human Body Game is an excellent way to learn the parts of the body in twelve (yes, twelve) different languages (English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Catalan, Basque, Russian, Danish, Chinese and Japanese).
To be fair, because it covers the skeleton, organs and muscles as well as the body, it’s just as useful a tool for learning about anatomy. As you’d expect from Janod, the design is great, with a magnetic board, 76 magnets and a pointing stick should the children want to play teacher. Hours of fun and learning for aspiring medics. £32, Smallable.
